Crawley and surrounding areas
Here the new roof is framed up in timber, with rafters cut and fixed to the ridge and carried on purlins and struts. Below it, stud walls have been built out along the eaves and across the middle of the space, with OSB sheathing to one section and the new floor decked out ready for the next stage. The whole job sits under a scaffold with a corrugated temporary roof and sheeting to the sides, so the work stays dry while the structure goes up. Levels and straight edges are still in place on the plates as the framing is set out.
